IMEX WEEKLY BLOG

Hope you guys all had a great week doing the things you do!
Firstly, we hope you enjoyed last week’s blog, we’ve had some great feedback on it which is EXACTLY what we want so keep it coming!!! The more the better!
Anyway…onto this weeks blog! Up first to mention is the gig from last Friday at The Parade in Llandudno! We had a FANTASTIC night and it’s safe to say everyone who came down enjoyed themselves. The support from all you Coastal metalheads is UN-REAL and we can’t thank you enough for doing your bit to keep the local music scene alive and kicking! It was panic stations to begin with as we had were struggling to give life to the P.A that we had borrowed for the evening! But Mikey came to the rescue and “Tweeked” life into it! So were up and running eventually! Was great to see MotherWrench and Inferno doing their thing, both bands OWNED it and guys was great to have you down. Everyone brought the COASTAL CARNAGE for us and we loved every second of our set, seeing you fuckers go crazy is what it’s all about! We will be putting on MANY more gigs at The Parade and make sure you keep coming down and supporting local music! Hopefully this venue might fill the void that Speaker’s Corner has left. Before we move on from the gig, we want to thank Carl Harris and James Cooper for helping us promote the night, without you two guys the gig would not have been the success it was. Mark Coxon of Jaded Images fame has reviewed the gig and you can read his thoughts here! - http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=206730479338738&id=109486822419323
More info on future gigs at The Parade next week!
Our next gig is on March 27th at THE MASQUE in Liverpool supporting the death metal juggernaut that is MAN MUST DIE! These guys are a personal favourite of ours and we’re honoured to play with them once again. Here is the full line-up with MySpace links –
Man Must Die
With tickets being just £6 for this incredibly stacked line-up, this is NOT one to be missed. Tickets are available from the following website -http://whiplash4metal.bigcartel.com/
SEE YOU THERE!
So we’re another step closer to releasing THESE LIFELESS PLAINS! We think we have found the CD printing company for us, the samples we have seen are JUST what we want to achieve. Don Jackson-wyatt and the www.circlepit.tv team were recently given the first promo copy of the E.P for review and the review has gone online just in time to make this week’s blog! So check out their thoughts on our new E.P here! - http://www.circlepit.tv/album-reviews/impaled-existence-ep-review We’re gonna be wanting for as many reviews as possible so keep a look out in the future for more reviews!
We cannot wait to get this out there! Not long now…By next week we hope to give you the official date of release.
Last week you’ll remember we were having our first band practise in Bagillt. This little gem of a hall Is perfect for us, has it’s own little stage and the natural acoustics there are sounding awesome! Think we have found our new home. But an apology to the neighbours…as it is situated in the middle of a residential street… =P

Hey guys!

Well here we are, our first weekly blog! Firstly thanks for wanting to be a part of, what we hope to be, a great way to keep you guys informed of all the updates, big and small through 2011!

As we mentioned on Facebook, we want to keep you updated on up-coming gigs, E.P release progress and all the other bits and pieces that will hopefully be of interest to you.

SO LETS GET CRACKING!

The most important update from this last week is that we finally have the artwork finished for THESE LIFELESS PLAINS! Jan from Darkgrove has done a FANTASTIC job for us and we couldn't be happier. You may recall towards the end of last year we had some issues with our previous designer so it was great to have Jan come on board and be the hands on designer we needed. So you can find below the final artwork for THESE LIFELESS PLAINS! So download it and let us know what you think!

Also! Below is the final design for our new T.Shirts! We felt that the E.P cover art would work awesome on a T.Shirt and hope you agree that it looks fantastic! Again, designed by Darkgrove designs. If you want to check out more of Jan's work, hit the jump! - http://www.darkgrove.net/

So when the hell are we gonna get this E.P released you might ask! And rightly so, but you'll be pleased to know it's all systems go now we have everything ready. We are currently comparing quotes for CD and T.shirt printing, so if you know of any decent suppliers, let us know, either reply to this e-mail or hit us up on the FB page, the more comparisons we have the better. So as soon as we decide on who to go with it's full steam ahead for the E.P release. We're hoping to get it released through a distribution deal, but don't worry, you will still be able to get copies directly from us! More on that nearer the time.

Our next gig is this Friday March 4th at The Parade in Llandudno, with support coming from Inferno & Motherwrench! The Inferno guys always put on a killer set and we're looking forward to gigging with Motherwrench for the first time. We have never gigged at The Parade and it's always exciting to play at new venues. So anyone local to the Llandudno area make sure you get down to The Parade this Friday, doors are at 7.30pm with the first band being on at 8:00pm! It's a great line-up and will be a fun evening, hope to see you there!

Here is the FB event link for the gig - http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=113560458721122 - RSVP it up!

At the end of March we will be supporting MAN MUST DIE at The Masque in Liverpool, more on that one next week! This line-up is NOT one to be missed!

We have recently uploaded to FB some shots from our recent photo shoot with the immensely talented Don Jackson-wyatt fromwww.circlepit.tv! We did the shots in the Denbigh moors and, despite freezing our asses off, we had a blast with Don and got some great shots out of it. We can't wait to work with Don again. So if you haven't already seen them, make sure to check them out on the FB page and let us know what you think!

Speaking of circlepit.tv, head over to the website [http://www.circlepit.tv/features/band-of-the-month] and check out the 'Band Of The Month' feature. Don did a fantastic feature on us and we're stoked to be featured on the website [thank you Don!]. While you're there, have a browse around the rest of the website and see why it's getting a stupid amount of hits a day!

Tonight we will be trying out a new practice room! We have had to leave Sychdyn behind as the owner felt that upcoming local elections deserved the space there rather than our gear cluttering up the place! [That's 5 less votes for the local labour party!!!] So tonight we will be in Bagillt and we can't wait to blast out the set and get ready for Friday's gig in Llandudno!

That pretty much does it for the first of our weekly blogs! We'll check in again next week with thoughts on Friday's gig, more updates on the E.P release and much more! In the meantime...enjoy the E.P artwork and make sure you let us know what you think!

BE SAFE!
